Every September, my cousin Jessica comes to Utah from Liberty Lake, Washington for a weekend. I was so excited for her to come! She got here Thursday afternoon. So I gave her a quick tour of my new apartment and then we drove over to Monica's boyfriend's apartment. Jess, Monica, and I sat out on the patio talking and eating some delicious and freshly-canned peaches. Mmmmmmm. Then we watched the highly-anticipated season premiere of The Office (so funny!) and ate some amazing chicken tortilla soup. Aside from all of that though, I was kind of having a hard day, so after dinner I went to sit outside for a little bit. I ended up being kind of emotional, and I'm really glad Jess was there to comfort me and know what to say. After all of that, I got myself together and we went over to Wal-mart, where we met my boyfriend Paul and friend Taylor and got ourselves new toothbrushes. I'm sure it was the funnest part about her weekend! She stayed that night with me and then left for Salt Lake the next day to meet up with her friend Kerry.
Saturday we met at the conference center in SLC for the women's broadcast.
The meeting was so good! The General Relief Society Presidency spoke, along with Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the First Presidency. I love him! His words are just so kind, and you know you are loved when you hear him speak. Everyone left feeling a little more uplifted and inspired. Well, at least I did.
There's the First Presidency leaving. Not very good, but the best shot I could get from how far back I was.
None of my pictures of the Salt Lake Temple turned out very good, the settings on my camera were being stupid.
After the meeting, we all went out to eat at Tucano's at Gateway. It was my first time eating there, and oh my goodness it was absolutely delicious! I loved it. Probably my new favorite restaurant. We skipped out on dessert, hoping on getting a caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. BUT IT WAS CLOSED! Poor Jess was a little depressed, it's her tradition (and probably what she was looking forward to most). So we decided next time we'll get an apple before the conference to tie us over until dinner (that is, if Monica and I can ever make it anywhere on time). Sadly, after that we had to say goodbye. Jess left to go back to Washington today. Our visits are never long enough! But Jessica, just know you are loved and I appreciate everything you do for me! Thanks for coming, and I can't wait until next year!
...have found me rather busy. Alright, and a little bit lazy, too. (Both reasons I haven't updated my blog.) Let's see, I:- moved out of Parkway Crossing.

(Note: I am only making a sad face in this picture because I didn't want to leave my roommates. The look has absolutely nothing to do with me being sad about leaving Parkway Crossing. I was more than happy to do that!)- Work, work, worked! I love Sport Clips!

- Spent time with Paul. He's an absolute sweetheart!

- Drove to Washington with Monica and Chris for Maya's baptism. I had a BLAST with all the family!

- Cut 6 inches of hair off.

Um, what else...oh, when I moved out of Parkway (and Raintree), I moved to a little place in Provo. I LOVE IT! I have great roommates and it's so cute! I love having a washer and dryer right in my kitchen, it makes life a lot easier! So now I'm in a BYU ward. And crazy enough, I'm not the only North Dakotan! My friend Amber Veazey from Minot is in my ward. And we were both just called on Sunday to be on the Activities Committee (yay, no piano playing for me!), so I'll be seeing alot of her. It'll be fun, I'm excited about it. I also just had a little Fargo reunion. I've missed those guys so much!
So there you have it. I promise I'll try to be better at blogging from now on!
